Abstract: Lighthill considered the diffraction of normal shock wave past a small bend of angle . Srivastava and Srivastava and Chopra ex-tended the work of Lighthill to the case of diffraction of oblique shock wave (consisting of incident and reflected shock wave). Srivastava and Srivastava obtained the curvature of reflected diracted shock wave. When the relative outflow behind the reflected shock wave be-fore diffraction is sonic and subsonic respectively. The shock strength in both the cases has been infinite. In the present paper we treat the subsonic case when the shock strength is fifinite.
